As a little girl, I was taught to follow a script—a path built out of cultural duty, fear, and unquestioning obedience. I was supposed to sacrifice everything for family, live quietly in the shadows, and stay in my lane. But technology called to me, kindling a profound enthusiasm for discovering the world, even when those around me refused to see it through my eyes.

Like the sea turtle swimming against powerful currents, I refused to retreat into my shell when faced with resistance. Each "no," every side-eye, every dismissal only strengthened my resolve. I transformed rejection into rocket fuel, taking every brick thrown in my path to build an empire of possibility.

From spending my newspaper route money at junkyards to build my first computer to saving Girl Scout cookie money for my first Mac, my curiosity wasn't celebrated—it was viewed as defiance. But that defiance became my strength. My path led from engineering studies at Tufts University to a Master's at NYU, from management consulting to leadership roles at Amazon and PwC, and now as a co-founder and CEO of Fusion Collective.

What Star Wars was to my technological journey, Italian wines and solo travel (89 countries and counting) have become to my personal one—gateways to infinite possibilities and self-discovery.  I've learned that the most meaningful journeys aren't always the fastest ones. Through bold red wines that tell stories of tradition and terrain, and travels that challenge conventional boundaries, I've discovered that persistence matters more than speed.

The Turtle Chronicles represents my belief that we can all be joyful warriors—facing life's challenges with quiet determination while savoring its pleasures. My mission here, as in all aspects of my life, is to leave people and places better than I found them—to create bridges where walls once stood.

As someone who knows what it means to be the outsider, I created this space to share stories of resilience, cultural exploration, and wisdom found in unexpected places. Join me as we carry our homes on our backs, face storms with courage, and keep swimming through whatever life sends our way.
